Cut the Pieces out that you will need
Cut two Pieces of Buckram out giving about 1/2" seam allowance
Sew them together leaving PLENTY of a hole to flip it "right" side out
Cut small notches around the curves so that it lays better after pressing.

Flip Right Side out

Press Flat

Using about a 14 gauge wire

Zig Zag over the wire around the edge of the buckram
Place Finished Buckram on Fabric
Using Tailors Chalk, Trace about 1/2" out around the curves.  In the back "long hump" I have more than an inch seam allowance.  Also trace directly around the main three humps of the hat.
Taking away the buckram it should look like this
Cut out the biggest line and sew on the smaller line
Flip right side out and press flat
Place buckram inside and press edges tight around buckram
Sew a tiny hem and add any detail to the back "flap" on the non pleated marking side.
Pleat and attache to main hat being careful of wiring, this seam can be convered up with decorations on any sort.
